The PAL Fiber Conditioning Station is used together with the PAL SPME option to clean the SPME fiber between different runs or sequences. This optional cleaning station helps to keep clean the GC Injection port and the analytical column. The fiber is inserted into a heated and purged (He or N2) steel capillary tube for a predefined time period. A second cleaning port is available to prep ahead new fibers. The cleaning station is fully controlled with the CombiPAL's local firmware and can be operated with or without the Cycle Composer software.
