 On-column injections
The OPTIC 3 injector can also be used for on-column injections. For on-column injections ATAS GL developed a special liner. The retention-gap (0.53 mm ID) is installed directly to the liner. The sample can then easily injected directly into the retention gap. Also it is possible to install an analytical column with a narrow ID (0.25 or 0.32mm) directly to the liner instead of a retention gap. Then it is only possible to injected on top of the column. However, it is still a good alternative for standard injections if very volatile compounds have to be analysed.
